They don't supply to the general public I'm afraid, but if you like their range then it is available with the website package from both UKdropshipgroup and DPBUK as far as I know.

Oh really? Cool. Had tried to create an account and the site requested a password, emailed them and they just sent another email address back... Looks pretty good selection though. Good margins?

Yes, they have a great selection and the margins are basically what you want to set them at - which is great. I know from experience that they give a great service too.

This is a great line to start off with as, as your business grows - you can add many different product lines which will fit in with it, a great starter business in my opinion.

We were just looking at the prices at ARB and some of them seemed higher than RRP (as advertised in other locations) - has any body noticed this?

Hi,

I have an explanation for that, and no dropshipper will be cheapest for every product, but before I explain how the market works, let me ask you a question.

Theperfumeshop

Boots the chemist

The above two retail outlets (and online) sell the exact same products, with price differences sometimes as high as 70% (Boots 70% higher than theperfumeshop).

Boots obviously sell more fragrances than the perfumeshop, so why do you think that is? Why don't all prospective buyers of ANY product look for the absolute cheapest available.

Your answer to such a question will more than likely confirm the business route you will go down.

IE: Thinking that price HAS to be the cheapest to be successful, or believing that confidence, value and experience also has a major part to play in the retail process.

Don't get me wrong, price does come into it at some point, but is not even near the top of the list when looking to generate sales.

Another way to look at this is games. Play.com are pretty much the cheapest outlet on the internet, even for books, and more, so why does everybody not shop at play.com, and turn their £200million a year business, into a £4Billion a year business, and render all their competitors void, and bankrupt? Why do people still shop at HMV, when play.com will save them £5 on a game, or a book?

It is an interesting question, but the answer has to be, and has proven to be, that not everybody does, and ever will shop at the cheapest outlet, no matter how cheap.

There are very many additional factors at play here (no pun intended there), that will dictate how successful a business will become.

Another interesting fact which goes to prove your point UKDG is that Boots and the perfume shop are one in the same as are many other high street chemist type shops - all under the same.

Most large organisations have "joint ventures", another example was Zavvy (Virgin Megastore) they were mearly selling Woolworths stock, when Wollies collapsed Zavvie was doomed.
